Kids have a couple of questions, do I have to change the alternature and power steering and all the stuff? A h22 head has two cams and f22 has one so does it matter like does it mess up the timing. Please give some advice thanks

 

Alternator & power-steering pump don't affect the camshaft timing at all, that's only controlled by the timing belt.

Not sure whether part of the PS pump mounting bracket is on the head?? If so, then you have to make that work with the DOHC head.

Search for "G22" or something like that for threads about this. Some people call that conversion a G-series engine (in-between F & H). (But Honda actually did make an engine that they called "G" which was a 5-cylinder in the Acura Vigor or 2.5-TL.)

 

Yeah all the mou st look the same and everything, I got to do some more research. But timing won't mess up if there two cam drives instead of one?

 

You need a different timing belt because it's longer, & timing covers from the donor H-engine.

If you want to double-check something, count teeth on the crankshaft & camshaft sprockets. Each camshaft sprocket MUST have double the number of teeth as your crankshaft sprocket. I don't think you have to use the sprocket from the donor H-22.
(I'm not talking about the sprocket that drives the balance-belt.)
