Default F23A removal

Good Morning, I am respectfully requesting if anyone knows whether the F23A engine in a 2001 Accord is even "able" to come out by "lifting" the engine out (maybe without the tranny)? The Helm manual says that the engine is lowered out while the car is lifted. Is this cuz the tranny gets in the way? Or the intake manifold?? Is there ANY way that it can be hoisted up and out instead of lowered out of the car? Thanks everyone in advance for the help!

I'm going to move this to Engine/Internal where you'll get better answers.

yes you can remove the engine and tranny from the engine bay by lifting.
If your attempting this you already know to disconnect and remove all sensors/connectors ect. and brackets from the engine and trans. Also removing the axles and such…..

You need to take you hoist or w/e you are using (I used my farm tractor to lift my engine out) to lift the engine out of the bay. You ONLY wrap the chains around the driver’s side of the engine (timing belt side)

I recommend removing your power steering and bracket from the engine block. Then after wrapping the engine with the lift chain. Use the studs from the power steering bracket and hook your chain to it and use the bracket bolts to secure the chains to the engine block. Then remove the engine and trans slow and have a helper maneuver the engine and trans out of the bay.
