I am long time DIYer on this car but my first time opening a cylinder head. I had a code and had to replace the front rocker arm oil control valve. This is what it looks like inside the front cylinder head. The side of the oil control valve (left) is dirty but the other side (right) is "clean".
Is this likely from the faulty control valve?
How do I clean this all up?
Anything else to check on while I have this still open?
