a bad mount will make the engine shake a lot more, thus you will feel it at the steering wheel as well ,, worse if car has AT tranny and at idle , in gear, and still worse with a/c on.........A bad mount will NOT affect the tranny

my old car... 98 dodge stratus had a bad rear mount... if i staged it up (pre loaded it) it would be evul amounts of rattle...
