getting check engine light for gas cap
98 accord- using an old gas cap that clicks ok. Got from a junk yard back when I was living in south Jersey...What kind do I have to buy, to make the engine light stop turning on./?
Yes I should have the code. and I used to know what it was...I will have to research how to make the light blink and count them...I forget just how to do that again..I'll get back to this thread as soon as I can do all that tomorrow..
The last time I did this it was the evaporator system..and someone posted that it is usually the cap....And because I have one from a junk yard in s.jersey...I thought it was the problem...
I know I sound lame ,I always wanted to be a mechanic..and went six months of auto mechanic school in denver..emily griffin school.
I never got a job as a mechanic, and took a job driving again..
Anyway I'll have to get back to this thread....thanks again...
