interesting thing, i got my car serviced at this other place i go to i got to see everything. they do a great job, ironically the guy that was working on my car said the tranny fluid was a little dirty. and, i got my car drained and refilled about a month ago. anyways, i think its shifting fine.

car is running well. so, that's nice to hear.

If it was only drained & refilled once, then it could still be dirty. If you drain it once, it only drains about 1/3 of the old fluid out. In order to do a complete change of fluid, you need to drain once, refill, drive around for a bit to let it shift through the gears, drain fluid again, refill again, drive around again, then drain fluid a third and final time, refill again, & you're done.

Thats why I drive 5 speeds!

Always a pain getting your auto tranny fluid changed cause so much of it sticks in the torque converter.

yeah, but i believe manuals also need some sort of fluid for their gears. yeah, i think honda did the transmission job right. just the guy at this other shop was probably upset i didn't go to him.

LOL ..... what MacLeod is saying is that with a manual, you can change the fluid easily whereas in an auto, you can only dilute the old fluid by changing 1/3 of the fluid at a time ..... since Honda auto tranny's don't like to be power-flushed.

I don't think ANY transmission should be power flushed! I don't care what type of car you are going to do it to! Power flushing is abuse for any car!
