H22A engine with F22B tranny?
do they bolt right up to eachother? and if they do... is it worth saving the 700 clams? i've been looking around here for a couple hours trying to find a thread about it but couldnt, only wanted to spend so much time looking haha... well thanks in advance to any info given, much appreciated.

It should bolt up, but what's your real question?
Manual or automatic transmission?
Transmissions intended for the H-engine would have shorter gearing to take advantage of the higher-revving engine.
Automatic transmissions might have control issues, depending on what year? Maybe you'd want to use the TCM that matches your transmission, along with the ECM that matches your engine. But for 1998 & newer, those 2 are integrated together in a "PCM".

Personally I would match the h22 with a h22 trans. Much better set up. The f22 gears are too long for the higher revving h22 engine. Yes it can be done. But as Jim stated above about the auto trans depends on the year trans you are looking to use.

well now that my question has been answered about the compatibility between an h22 and an f22 trans. i need to know all the following things i would need for my 97 accord. the last guy who had it over-heated the crap out of the motor and i found out the hard way after doing the heads and putting basically everything new on the car. the car's a 5 spd btw.
