in my 00' the rev limit is @ 6.5k... and the red line @ 6.2, but as falkore said b4, the rev limiter is the true limit, not the red line! hahaha[8D]

ORIGINAL: accords own

if someone is tailgating me, 1) slow down 2) turn on my hazard lights 3)turn on my front windshield cleaner fluid so it gets all over their car...thats my 3 step process. the slowing down pisses them off, the hazard lights freak them out, and the windshield fluid on their car pisses them off more. its fool proof, but then again, i rarely get tailgated
Sry to interrupt but thats funny cuz thats exactly what I do

Yeah I do that too...

yesterday on my way home traffic was bad, but t his bitch was riding my *** like i was towing her.

so i slowed down.. what pissed me off was we were going to slow (literally 10mph) to have the water flly back far enough to hit her car...
and what pissed me off even more was when i let my car slow down to idle pull, she still rode my *** for another 10 minutes straight.. ppl BEHIND her were getting pissed and went around, but this ***** kept sitting on my ***.. if iw asn't in such a hurrty to get home, i would have stopped on the highway and at least acted like i was going to walk back to her car...

but damn, i absolutely HATE it when ppl ride my *** that badly.. i couldn't even see her hood she was so on my ***. GRRRRR

as for the redline, ill have to play with the D4 vs D3 rev-limiter; i do know that while driving d3 definitely revs higher before shifting.

Here's a pic of my dash for reference, I was having a rev-session while taking snaps and held it at 4.5k

sounds like you forgot the all important hazard lights!!!! Maybe we should all install tail flame kits!!!!! It would be tough with coil on plug.

Too bad you weren't driving a beat up old car that you could trash. Could have braked a little hard and she would have rear ended you. Would have made her insurance go up if she even has it.

You can make your D4 rev just as high before it shifts if you give it more gas. The only difference I've noticed between D3 and D4 is that I seem to take off from a stop faster in D3.

You are actually a bit faster in D3 than D4. When D3 hits redline, it will lock-up the tranny then drop a few hundred rpms and re-climb to redline before you need to shift to D4. If it's in D4 it won't do this. We are talking about high speeds now though .... like the 105-125 range.
