Intake parts questions
I was looking into doing a Seafoam on my car, and noticed everyone was mentioning to use the PCV inlet to get better dispersion of the fluid.
Upon looking things up, and looking at my car, I realized I didn't know what some things were on my car.
Can someone explain the parts I have colored?
I've included the original photo, a color-corrected and highlighted version to isolate parts I'm concerned about, and a closer shot for clarity.
[Large images!!!]
CAI - Imgur
[Yellow] - Is this the PCV inlet hose?
[Purple] - Is this an air flow sensor?
[Red] - ??? - I don't remember having this in place when I originally installed the first CAI, but the body shop might have added it when I got into a nasty wreck crushing the CAI end.
[Blue] - ???
[Orange] - ???
I replaced the stock intake with the AEM intake about 4 years ago, and just plugged parts in that matched up on stock, without knowing what was actually what.
Thanks in advance!
*EDIT*
I know the PCV valve is down by the alternator, screwed into the manifold.
After a bit of reading and managing to find a service manual, I see that the [RED] hooks up to an Intake Air Bypass Valve Control... My understanding this is for cold cranks to bypass the throttle valve, correct? Why would I want/need that huge thing on it? Is it a thermo-wax air valve? Basically when the engine is to temp, it closes the valve to avoid excess oxygen? Sorry, I'm reading a lot right now and not 100% sure I'm understanding this correctly.

Yellow & red...
Breather hose. It's for the PCV system but it's not the "PCV hose" to use for sucking seafoam into the intake. Red is a baffled chamber that acts kinda like a catch-can for oily residue.
Orange thing is attached to the throttlebody, I think it's the throttle-position sensor.
I'm still looking for the blue breather hose. Don't remember what that is, & not sure where to find it in the parts drawings.
Purple...
Air temperature sensor. Photo isn't out far enough to see your air-flow sensor (if you have one). Air flow sensor is #15 mounted in the stock airfilter housing. My 2003 Accord DIDN'T have that; suspect it's only on California cars and/or later years.

Here's the PCV valve, screwed into the bracket for alternator & waterpump. The hose #3 is where you suck stuff into the intake manifold. Disconnect it from the PCV valve (#2) and suck the seafoam into the hose.

@JimBlake
Thanks for the information!
No MAF on my ride!
Thanks for the clarification on the PCV hose. I had thought that was the location after inspecting the service manual more, but you clarified it for me.
I could be wrong, but as best as I can tell the hose I have marked in blue is the air intake bypass for cold starts. Basically bypasses the intake valve for direct air injection since the valve is shut on startup?
Can you speak more to the intake's baffle chamber? Something that catches oily residue seems like it has a lifetime and should be replaced at some point. My googling showed the original [large] tube leading to the intake was the baffle, and was to reduce noise.
Do you have a source that will describe the parts numbered in your images?
I'll have to see if I can find something similar in my service manual I found the other day.

That baffle chamber might be for sound. Honda parts drawing just calls it an "air flow chamber".

click "PARTS"
put in your car's information
select "air cleaner" as the category
I used to have a 2003 and that thing didn't seem to collect oil that I was aware of. I normally took it off to open the air cleaner housing, so I think I would've noticed.

Thanks JimBlake... While that helps identify the part, I can't seem to find anything about it in the service manual to figure out what in the world it does :P
I'll just leave it on I guess.
