i have an auto trans and was wondering if i bought a racing tourqe converter if it would be worth the money and have a positive effect on the 0-60 times ect.

i think it would help, but i also think they cost about as much as a 5 speed?

yeah, high stall torque converters get up there in the price range, when you consider the cost and time of doing an auto manual swap vs the cost of the auto and a high stall are about the same lol

really? i found a place that custom makes applications for your car and there only like 300 to 400$. or is this the cheap stuff? i've been looking aound alittle bit but nothing to solid to go by. how much do you think it costs to swap to stick?

The main torque converters ive seen have been the 700$ range, And the swap depends on where you go, or if you know people competent enough to help you do the work yourself, but whats needed is the trany, shift assembly, the clutch, break, and accel, and a little wiring, but there are many arguements about the cost and how much its worth.
But i would do lots of research on torque converters, and the places that make them because that a part that you dont want to be of substandard quality

theres a write up on a 6th gen trans swap on two threads on this forum, that would give you most of what you need to know

wow yall are paying to much for ur torque converters

this dood is a god... he makes awsome converters... 400 bux... if ur drag racing... u have to build up a automatic tranny... no questions... alteast if ur bracketing... bracket is all about consistency... if ur not consistent... then u need to go home and manuals arent consistent... not atleast compared to autos...

if ur going further... kevlar clutches a shift kit and maby a better final drive gear and u will be haulin *** down the quarter
