Default Oil leakage around header...

I have a 1991 Accord and I've noticed oil leakage around a few bolts that connect the header to the motor. It is not a significant amount of oil leaking but just enough to show off how ugly my motor is. It is not leaking from the valve cover because the oil doesn't reach that high. Any opinions?

it can't be leaking from around the header bolts, it has to be coming from somewhere else. My guess would be that it's dripping from the outside lip of the valve cover and landing on the header bolts so it would appear that they are the source of the leak but there is no way that oil can leak from your header bolts unless your rings are shot and you're blowing a TON of oil past the rings and it's coming out the exhuast ports and leaking through the gasket.... if that's happening they you've got MAJOR problems and this would be the least of your worries....

Agreed. check seals and wash engine w/ degreaser (cover alternator, spark plugs, and any other electrical thing) and check if it "leaks"or if it was just old oil or dirt.

God luck w/ that.

While putting on a new header, I noticed that there was old oil that probably leaked from the valve cover pooling up in some recesses behind where the header hooks up to the head. I used engine degreaser and cleaned it up, so I should have no more oil shooting up in that area. Problem solved!
