shaving head

shaving head
Alright, heres my goal/plan. I want to give my engine a little haircut, im just not sure what it would take to achive a 10:1 compression shaving the head. I'm also looking at a cam with Narrow Intake Lobe .292 Wide Intake Lobe "vtec" .434 Exhaust .358 and the valves with 20 lbs more pressure on the valve seat from f22parts.com. If i were to wrap my intake pipe/manifold, gas lines with some heat reflective tape and give my valves/piston a good coat of heat reflection and bumped up to 91oct from 87 which i use now would the engine be good to go or would i still need to get a knock sensor just in case? 10:1 seems safe enough for me but i could see being worried with a 11:1 on a hot humid day. And also would 10:1 be a good bet with that cam choice?

i forgot to mention the effect side of the equation. If i did shave off enough to equal a 10-10.2:1 compression ratio would it of been enough to make the timing belt too loose to funtion, and would there be enough of a quench clearence for the piston? If the quench clearance was lowered enough for a faster burn it'd be better correct? I forgot to mention getting a bigger radiator and lower set thermostat to help with the heat in the mix.

Man this forum is a ghosttown, i got to thinking and realized if i adjusted the cam gear the shaved head wouldn't matter for the timing belt. I'm still not sure about the compression ratio with that specific cam though? Maybe i'm asking the wrong forum, this place seems to laugh at f22b1s even though they're the easiest and cheapest engine to mess with and i'm not rich lol. But my goal down the road does include hitting high 11's with this little n/a engine i just gotta get a backup shell so i can do some big upgrades.
