Default Swapping an Engine

I was looking at my sister's 2002 Acura MDX 3.5 liter V6 engine today and it looks like it mounts in all the same places as my 2002 Accord coupe's engine does, and despite some height issues, it looks to be around the same size. My question is, has anyone ever heard of swapping the 3.5 (or 3.2) engine from an Acura into an Accord?

I don’t see why it can’t be done. Accords come with the j30 in them from the factory. SO I’m assuming that the j series mounts are pretty close kinda like the f series and h series mounts are pretty much the same except for the driver side mount. Look around online and see if you can find a mount kit for your car. Hasport.com might have them.

Thanks for the help. I have been doing some research and I have come across the fact that the 2002 J30 engine and the 2002 j32 from the Acura tl engine camshafts are almost the exact same size. Would swapping for the J32 have any large performance boosts and what would be the negative effects of swapping be? Thanks in advance.

If youre talking about those camshafts, almost the exact same size wont cut it. the cam has to be designed for that engine. personally i wouldnt do it unless you have exact verification it will fit and work correctly. those two engines have different heads i believe too.
