Default Timing and suspension

Im just starting with fixing my 03 V4 accord. I’m currently replacing my plugs and coils due to misfiring. From what I’ve read the timing chain is guaranteed for the life of the engine. Was wondering if there was something else that could be done to service it or replacing the water pump etc. This car has never had any major problems and has been great to me. Just got to 123,000.

While timing chain is robust and should last life of engine, there are many examples of early failure. I'm not aware of any guarantee on timing chain. Most seem to fail benignly; either timing code and/or noise announcing the problem.

Water pump failure is usually preceded by noisy pump bearing, loss of coolant, or both symptoms.

Suggest drain/replace ATF w/ Honda AFF and coolant if not recently performed. Power steering and brake fluid replacement are also good preventive maintenance. Inspect cv joints for leaks of grease.

good luck
