Default tranny help

I was curious if anyone with a 1997 Accord Lx 2.2 has experienced jumping automatictransmissions? It goes into reverse with a thud and apparently jumps while changing gear... would a transmission additive help? like the lucas stuff... or is it uncureable? There the transmission works fine though... it's a little slow but otherwise those are the only problems. Also, if you tell me to use an additive, how do you get it to the transmission?

Thanks a ton.

Sounds to me like an engine mount coming loose or coming apart. Check them out first.

Honda autos dont seem to get along with additives. Use genuine dealer ATF, that seems to make a difference.

Change ATF by draining then filling thru the dipstick hole. If it's dirty or smells burnt, change it a few timeswith somedriving around inbetween.

is it "slipping" at all? I'd pull the fuel dipstick out and smell it/inspect it and it wouldn't hurt to drain it and fill it with genuine honda stuff and see if that helps (not a flush just a drain and fill)
