First comment, I actually searched and came up with plenty, but nothing for my year.

On to the question, is it even worth it? From what i have learned from reading most of the posts is that lots of the stock parts are great and arent worth replacing.

Follow up question: If it is, what matches up? I dont want to go manual, too much traffic in and around the NYC area. Would the TSX tranny match seeing that the cars are similar. Id like to move up to a 6spd, and dont want to move down to a 4spd.

Finally my dream request: would it be possible to get a tiptronic shifter as well? Thats just way cool

A true tiptronic tranny/system is going to be well over 4000. As for the swap to TSX or 6 speed I'm not certain but I believe at least one of the acura trannies will swap to your car.

 

Look at V6Performance.net.....im not sure about the tranny swap, but i think NVA-AV6 was trying to work triptronic into his AV6. but he hasnt got very far...

 

swapping in a sports shifter from a tsx into an accord is possible but not for under 4000.
But swapping in the 6sp from the tsx is a direct swap for the 4 bangers of the accord.
