Question Upgrade??

Hello I have a 93 EX auto and have been thinking about beefing up its performance. Should I do it? Is it worth it? What should I do to it? Im not going for appearance just performance. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks

if you wanna upgrade for power your best bet is to do a 5speed swap. The autos can't handle too much power over stock.

Also depends on your budget on what is worth doing.

So g22cd5. Your saying to change my auto into a manu.? Hmm I dint know I could do that. My budget is kind of low And broker that's what I was thinking of doing a tranny swap (h23) and putting turbo and doing internals. But idk What to do.

If you decide to turbocharge your engine and leave the automatic in place, the transmission will go Tango Uniform in fairly short order. Long story short, leave your car stock or somehow increase your budget for upgrades.

Were I in your shoes, I'd sell the car and use the extra budget money to buy something faster/more to your liking.

The thing is, unless you convert your car to a manual transmission (a pricy and time consuming job), adding a turbocharger (another pricy and time consuming job) would be a lesson in futility. For the resale price of your car plus your added budget you could either buy something which is already fast, or you could buy a similar vintage Accord with a 5-Speed already in place (they aren't at all rare), and then do a turbo upgrade.
