VTEC install and questions

You will need to run two wires to the ecu...vtec pressure switch and vtec solenoid. You can get a ready kit from a guy called "axidworks". Just google that name. Then just pop open the back of the ecu connectors and slide them in. You can google "obd2 pin out" to find the locations that you need to insert them into. I would source the obd2 vtec ecu.

The vtec distributor is internal coil and your existing distributor is external coil so you will probably need to do an internal coil conversion on your existing distributor or you might just be able to use your existing distributor. I'm actually not too sure on this. I would just use the existing and see how it runs if it was me.
