RE: Whats better 4-cyl accord or V6
dude if you are stock or with intake and header you won't win..........V6 driver does not know how to make use of the engine if he cannot get you........all that driver has to do to start pulling on you is to shift into second gear manually and step on the gas..... problem is V6 is reluctant to go into 2nd gear above 60 and you are locked out at 70 from downshifting into second.........so you gotta get into second before you race if you are at anything under 70.........

I gotta call you out bro
there is NO way you can take a properly running 98 V6 accord on the highway, you might get him from a roll but not at anything above 40mph......V6 will walk an I4 with IE and chip all day long at highway speeds
i'm sorry but 165-170 crank HP <>= 158WHP. I had a '98 accord LX V6 and I could easily take K24 accords with it.......and those things have about the same HP as a F23 with I/E

i have a 4cylinder with intake and exhust and chip and my bro has a 1998 v6 stock.
i take his v6 on the highway anyday. The auto trans suck on the V6 hold bakc the power.

RE: Whats better 4-cyl accord or V6
the big problem with hondas and v6's especially if you're talking about the 6th gen (98-02) is their transmition. it's not the power that you should be worried about, it's the tranny. i work in a honda shop and i see a lot of v6 hondas of those years getting transmtions replaced. the other thing that you want to be concerned about is the handling. you'll have harder time handling a v6 on corners then you would with the a 4 cyl. and yes, on a v6 you spend a lot more money on making it faster. not to mention you'll need to spend some serious money on making a v6 stick to the ground withoutsliding and losing control.
