Hey all.. After getting it started up and everything last night, VTEC isn't kicking in. It just sits at 4500 RPM.

Are you saying that it won't go above 4500 RPM? If so, I had the same problem on my Element. Code read that I had low VTEC oil pressure. I relaced the sensor and problem still occurred. Come to find out, water got into my computer and screwed it up.

Well I did get a CEL 22 for about 5 mins and it went away. 22 is VTEC oil pressure switch. But after changing the fuel filter and messing with sensors, I'm getting 5250 out of it. One guy told me that it may be the TPS or MAP sensor throwing the ecu off. He also said that it just may be a bad ECU.

Maybe, but code 22 says you probably should start with looking at the VTEC oil pressure switch.

Oil inventory OK?
Wire to VTEC oil pressure switch OK?
Remove VTEC spool valve & clean it. Plugged with crud?
