Default $500 and 5 days later! 94 accord

Originally the car overheated. The head was alright but the gasket was supposingly the problem. $500.00 parts and labor comparitively speaking was not a bad price. 5 days later symptoms reoccur without overheating.Have you ever heard of oil in the radiator? Under the 1st diagnosis the head gasket was to have caused the problem of oil in the radiator. Which in effect caused the radiator to crack and the car to overheat. All beginning from head gasket theory. After replacing head gasket, obviously havingthe head checked as well, and replacing radiator with a new one all systems seemed to go. 5 days later oil indicator light flickers on. After checking the oil dipstick, it was at least 3 quarts low. No obvious leaks. I removed the radiator cap and found my oil. Mechanic is stumped possibly oil in motor not completely flushed from previous service by his own admission. But then there is still no explanation for the missing 3 quarts of oil. Car has not overheated this time. Car is being checked by same mechanic and he is currently reflushing oil out. Any advise?

Ouch, by the time this is done you would have been able to get a replacement long block. I'm sorry man, this sounds WAY stressful. I've been in a predicament with a different vehicle that sounded almost as bad. I pulled a spark plug and radiator fluid sprayed out of it. On top of the head being blown and warped, I got 2nd degree burns on my arm and shoulder! I sincerely hope that they find the problem for you, I haven't a clue on what it could be. My honest opinion would be that he admitted he didn't flush it. Is there a chance he didn't fill the oil all the way? I'm guessing you checked to make sure that the pan doesn't have a hole or anything like that right?

Have them check the intake manifold gasket.

So is the oil in your coolant or just gone? a bad PCV valve can allow oil to be sucked into the IM to be burned also .... compression check for ring blow-by?
