Confusion on egine options for later model
Ive recently aquired a 1995 honnda accord to be honest I am no professional I've worked as an assistant tech for some time but am learning everytime I get into something big. Anyways.... As I have yet to have the car towed to my garage I am a bit sketchy on the details.. It is the v6 2.7L 4 Dr sedan and from what I've researched that narrows it down to two models the lx and the ex is that correct? That being my goal here is to replace the timing belt and prob the water pump since in their. To the poiint, the more I browse the more options it seems that are available... at one point I had seen that the pump had its own accessory belt... also noticed that any v tec is dual cam correct? so being that mine is a V6 and not a vtec 4 or 6 what can I expect with this job? will I be forced to remove timing belt to get to the water pump or is 95 of accessory!! If anyone had a solid link to my same motor it would be great once I get it here in the morning I will update but if anyone could help me get a vid to show the right motor and what im getting to it would be much appreciated! (P.S.) If this isnt right place its my first
Edit: While the idea to replace water pump came from sellers mechanic. I thought it seemed to be the issue but I had read that a common problem with the year accord is a tensionor goes bad depending on how water pump is operated. Ive been digging and digging with no luck thanks for reading !
