So i hAve a 1997 v6 accord and the check engine light was on due to the 02 sensor. So during the change i noticed my accesory belts needed replacing so i changed them but left the ac belt off. Can that cause the check engine light to stay on since i replaced the o2 sensor?

did your reset the ecu after the o2 install? id didn't it will still stay on.

to reset the ecu, remove negative battery terminal for about 20mins, put it back, start the car without any pedal on gas wait for the fan to turn on, then you're good.
