Cool 01 Accord - Low Fuel Light Indicator Stays Lit

I have a 2001 Accord EX (V6) w/ 118k miles. The low fuel indicator light on the dash is staying lit yet my fuel tank is full and my gas guage is working properly. Last week I was very low on gas an the fuel indicator light came on accordingly. I filled the tank shortly thereafter and the fuel gauge worked correctly, but the low fuel indicator light stayed illuminated. It has been on for about a week now.

Anyone have a similar issue/solution?
Can anyone confirm this generation of Accords have separate sending units for the fuel gauge and low fuel indicator light?
If so, can you educate me how a low fuel indicator sending unit works?
Thanks!

Not sure but I think it's the same sending unit. But it's a separate circuit (contact closure) for the lamp. You should probably check for a short-to-ground somewhere in the warning-lamp circuit.
