Hey guys, my 01 accord is running rough at idle but smooth while driving. I've got p0301 cylinder 1 misfire and a pending p1399 random misfire code on a 2001 accord with a 4cyl. In the last 48 hours the plugs, wires, cap and rotor have all been changed. Any ideas? Clean out the egr? fuel injector maybe?

 

was the issue there before you replaced plugs, wires , etc etc?? used NGK plugs ??Assuming plugs and wires are ok..
done a compression test?? chk the injector as well.. get a screwdriver and put the blade side on the injector and the handle side on your ear,,, compare all the injectors they all should sound the same ( clicking noise ) ..( engine running of course ) also a possible valve too tight ??

 

i'd try a good fuel injector treatment. i've had good luck with gumout (in the gray bottle). as mentioned by deserthonda, was the misfire there before you changed that stuff? did you gap your sparkplugs as well? it could be that you have a clogged fuel injector (or partially clogged), so i always recommend a good fuel treatment, as well as some better gas. g/l, sos
