Default 02 Accord Transmission Slipping

Hello All,

I have an 02 Accord with 124k miles on it. For the last few thousand miles, the transmission has been slipping between 1st and 2nd gear. At lower speeds, such as neighborhood driving, the slipping is not as apparent. Yet in situations such as accelerating at a green light, you can really feel the slip. I recently had my transmission fluid flushed and changed with synthetic fluid in the hopes that it would correct the issue. The slipping has definitely decreased from before, but is still there. I really hope I won't need a new transmission.

Another problem I have had for a while is with the wipers. Whenever I turn them on, they either stop almost halfway on the windshield, or go so down that they begin colliding with some of the plastic pieces near the hood. Is there a way I can recalibrate them so they always stop at their normal position? Thanks in advance for the help.

Welcome! But tranny problems aren't my expertise.

It sounds like the wiper arms have simply become loose on their drive shafts. Loosen the shaft nuts #19, position the arms in the parked position, & re-tighten.
