i know this isnt for asking for help but my accord is acting up. first the powerlocks stopped working and everything is manual override(has an aftermarket lock system) then lately the radio shuts off and turns back on randomly and when it does this the gauges dim and the trip resets to zero. the cars has 100k on it so i dont think its the wire harness but maybe the CPU? if anyone could help i would be greatful. idk what to do.

 

Are you sure the lock problem and other electrical problems are related?

Dash dimming & radio on/off you may want to start looking for bad grounds. I don't have a power distribution diagram for that gen car but there's probably one on the firewall somewhere. The earlier gen it was near the intake manifold/plenum.

 

We seem to have a lot of members having the problems such as that. I see quite a bit of the cars locking up on it's own posts over the last 2 or 3 years...haven't any of you who have had that problem found out from Honda what has been causing that?
