Default 02 Vtech cutting out

Greetings -
Just finished installing a rebuilt cylinder head on my wife's Accord and it's giving me a problem going down the driveway. It will launch fine, but when it gets to about 3000 rpm, it feels like the engine is basically shutting off for an instant. I found the knock sensor broken off and replaced that, but (no surprise) that didn't solve the issue. No codes are being set. Any ideas? Timing seems to be set right, so maybe an intermittent crank signal? Is there anything else that could cause this? Any help would be appreciated.

3000 rpm in the driveway?

Intermittent crank sensor should throw a code... That one's strange - can you make it happen by wiggling the key?
