99 Accord cutting out!
Hi Guy's
My wife recently purchased a 99 Honda Accord 2.0l, it has started to exhibit an annoying problem by cutting out or not starting.
It will either not start with the green key (immobilizer) light blinking away or start and drive for 100 yards and then everything switches off, engine included, and all that's blinking is the immobilizer light again!
This problem is intermittent and obviously connected somehow to the immobilizer system, but I've no idea how to repair.
Any ideas?

You're not in USA, because we don't get 2.0 engines for 1999.
England? Swindon-built car is a different car than a USA Accord.
Anyway, around here there's an antenna for the immobilizer, right around the ignition switch (#17 in the picture). Look for loose connections.
See if you can make it happen by wiggling the key. In that case, you can suspect problems with the electrical part of the ignition switch #10.
