04 accord 3.0 not starting

Default 04 accord 3.0 not starting

my daughters 04 accord 3.0 will not start. I turn the key on and every thing gets power but when it is turned to start it nothing not even a click. the battery had a bad cell so bought a new one, did not start........ pulled starter had it tested and it tested good....... checked that the grounds on the circuit and they were all good. need some advice at this point before i set this thing on fire.

Are you getting 12v to the starter-signal wire? That's the small wire at the starter, it should have battery voltage when you turn the key to START.

it had voltage, I beat the crap out of the starter one more time and it turned over so it was a temperamental starter.

Hopefully the problem is resolved. If it returns, then the starter is likely the problem. I'm not sure if you can replace the contacts like in the older accords.

Had a similar problem with my starter about 6 months ago on my V6 2005 Accord where it would not turn. Clicking only at the ignition. Battery was fine and had voltage at the starter but nothing, only the click. Took a long breaker bar from my tool box and tapped the top of the starter hard a few times and bingo worked again. Gave wife instructions (and breaker bar). Replaced starter the next day I had off. No problems since.
