2004 Accord LX, 2.4. 160 k miles. Have replaced upstream o2 a/f sensor. Cleared code. Drove it for a day for ecu to register it and code returned. Have to get fixed to pass emissions. Any help appreciated. Thanks

Did you replace it with a denso sensor. Have you checked the pins on the harness and the cable for cracking. OEM is denso for O2 sensors. Did you clean the harness? Once you have made sure of those things the you will check for open/short on the line.
For that code I always check the cable and use a meter to check before I purchase a sensor. The problem is on that sensor/ cable you just have to find where. Worst case is an ECU issue but that's after you have tried everything else

Other than visual inspection haven't tested harness. I don't have meter here so guess will need to take it somewhere. The sensor was ordered offline.. did have the densco name on it but slightly looked different from the 234-9040. Didn't have the star head on sensor, was just rounded. When I took the old one off it was almost hand tight, I'll post a picture of it, but doesn't look like original one off car too me. I just purchased it, I believe someone fought this issue before.
