I received my A/C parts, just have to wait for the manifold + Freon. I'm a little confused on the Freon. The local Walmart sells Duracool 12a Refrigerant, it is a 6oz can but the specs say Each 6 ounce can of Duracool 12a is equal to approximately 17 ounces of R-134a refrigerant or 19 ounces of R-12 refrigerant. Not sure how this is possible or what this means of how much I need. Link https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/duracoo...6000130570955.

The cans I was going to order are 12 oz. Arctic Freeze ® Refrigerant link https://www.harborfreight.com/13-oz-...nt-97272.html.

Now when the A/C originally stopped working I had a can of the Duracool 12a Refrigerant and I'm pretty sure I added the entire can.

Can someone clarify please.

Hold on are you saying you mixed R12 with R134a. You need to stick to one

If you did that could very well be your issue now. You either stick with R134a \w PAG46 or R12 \w mineral or ester oil. You can't have both. You also need to make sure you have the right O-rings. Green for 134a black for 12.

What does your manual state as the source of Freon or you can check under your hood. I gave you the the amount you need if using R134a w PAG 46. I don't know why you are talking about R12. If using R12 you will need to find the specs via google I guess because I don't think your car came with it filled with R12. Please don't complicate this more that it has to be.

Also being that you mixed refrigerants you must swap out the expansion valve

The car takes R134a. I must have looked at the wrong can as I'm sure I added Duracool R134a. I just stopped in the store and was confused because the can they have in stock says a 6oz can is = to 17oz of R134a so not sure how that would be possible.
It sounds like this is not the right product, I sure hope I didn't add this stuff originally and it was the cause of the compressor failing. I'm sure the original can said R134a as I used the second can in my truck which has work out perfectly fine.

At this point I'm going to buy the 12 oz. Arctic Freeze from harbour freaight Link www.
harborfreight.com/13-oz-arctic-freeze-refrigerant-97272.html"
Sorry for the confusion.

The expansion valve is part of the kit I have so should be good there.

I stopped by Walmart yesterday just to verify the can of Freon. The can says R134 replacement, when you read the instructions it says to remove your R134 or 12 and replace it with this stuff. Suppose to be compatible with both types of oils and cools better and environmentally safe. Duracool®.com 2004 - Duracool® is The Recognized Leader In Hydrocarbon Refrigerant Technology
