Default 06 Accord Exhaust flange

I have an 06 Accord 2.4 Sedan, the flange from the flex pipe to the converter is leaking. The exhaust pipes look good but the flange is really rusty. Not sure how it comes apart or how I can repair it. I assume there is a gasket sandwiched there as well. Is there a split flange and gasket I can use? Advice please.

#14 is a fat donut gasket in that 3-bolt flange. Chances are, you need the gasket & not the flanges. Look for cracks in the flanges, but rust is pretty normal. You'll probably have to clean up the surface where the gasket seats, and you might break the bolts so have new ones.

I also think if you unhook 1 or 2 hangers like #10 you can lower the pipe and have enough room to see the faces of both flanges for cleaning; without disconnecting any other flanges.

Thanks for the update. I think I need 15 as well and if I recall the flange is completely rusted and I have a weld holding thinks together. Are there split flanges you can recommend? Also any idea on the part numbers? Need to source them here in Canada.

In Canada, Honda has been known to scramble the models differently than US. Years ago the CA EX was the same as the US LX. The CA EX-R was the US EX or something like that. I'm not sure how that works for 2006.

I'm looking at Majestic Honda's website:
www(dot)hondaautomotiveparts(dot)com
(I made it a non-active link because of our rules)

Put in your VIN instead of year/model/version/etc. Hope it recognizes Canadian VIN.

#14 for USA LX & EX automatic trans
Honda part# 18302-SP0-003

#15 for USA LX auto is 18393-SP0-003
#15 for USA EX auto is 18393-SH3-S00

Once I saw you're in Canada, I quit looking for all different combinations of transmissions, etc...

I've seen split flanges in auto-parts stores, but not from Honda themselves. And they're kinda haphazard about sizes & fitments. I think you'll just have to look, unless someone from Canada chimes in.

I stopped by the local auto store and they have a listing for walker exhaust parts but instead of a donut they have a gasket listed with the same shape as the flange. Any ideas?

Sometimes the parts drawing is a little funny that way. The 2 different part numbers for #15 look quite different but they don't show differently in the parts drawing.

And sometimes you can see the edge of the gasket before you take it apart to see whether it's a fat donut vs. a gasket. If it's a metal O-ring sitting in a groove, then you won't see any space at all between the flanges.

Both 14 and 15 look like metal rings rather than donuts.
