Default 07 Bumper repair.

I'm trying to see if it is worth my time to do a bumper repair by myself rather than having a shop do it. I'm looking for a manual that can show me what it would take to just take off and put on a new front bumper.

You can buy a manual from helminc.com ($55), which is what I did recently for my recently purchased Accord. You can also get some info free from autozone.com, but the 2007 info is not included. You could look for the latest model tha AZ has. It will probably be same as yours.

A quick look at my manual shows a lot of fasteners; screws, clips, bolts, and hooks (new one in my experience) to be released. The instructions are negligible "Remove bumper as shown", but the key is location of all fasterners, probably about 20.

good luck

Thanks for responding. I'm not actually trying to replace the whole assembly. I got backed up into in a parking lot and it scratched up the cover pretty bad. I want her insurance to cut me a check (if they do that) so I can buy a new cover at a better cost then have it painted and install it myself to pocket the rest of the cash. you know? Do you think there are less fastners and clips on just the cover? and do you think they would be easy to reach without having to remove to many parts in the process?

Is it just scratched up? Not actually torn? Maybe you or a body shop can fill it, smooth it, & repaint it.
