Default 08 Accord 4 cyl irratic idle and quitting

[EDIT: ERRATIC IDLE] I have an 08 accord with 50k miles. I has has a bit of a low idle at times in the past year but never anything dramatic. In the last two days, when I start it, it will start to idle around 2000 and slowly drop to around 800 and then die. It will do it twice and then it will start and stay on. Now the engine light is on but not blinking. It is also giving me a bit of sputter at times in regular operation (35-55 mph). What is going on? Before I take it to the dealer, any ideas? Bad wires? Spark plugs? I was thinking fuel but it would have more sporadic issues, right? I am in the dark so far, please help!

The check engine light turning on means the engine computer detected a problem and stored a code. Parts stores like Autozone can read codes for free. Stop by there and have them read the code.

Post the code on here. It will start with the letter P and have 4 numbers like, P1234. That will help identify what is wrong. Also, is your car still under warranty?
