Default 17's to 19's: Would You?

Hi,

I have a 2008 Accord V6 sedan. I'm researching wheels and was considering going to 19 inches. There's a much wider selection in 19's and they seem to be right in the middle as 20's are +3; the highest I want to go. What do you all think. I live in the DC area. So snow would be a factor in my decision.

Thanks.

The selection of 19" tires will generally be wider than the 17". That's the wrong direction for snow. 19" low-profile tires might say "4-season" but I'd be very skeptical. If you really want 19", think about swapping winter & summer tires.

I think we get more snow here in Ohio vs DC. Besides I grew up in Wisconsin so I'm a believer in actual winter tires. You can find much more "fun" tires if you don't have to worry about how they work in light snow.
