Default 1980 Honda Accord Lx - Electrical Issue - No Brake Lights etc.

Hey everybody,

My 1980 Honda Accord LX is experiencing an electrical issue and I'm having a tough time troubleshooting. I was hoping someone here could shed some light on the situation.

Whats wrong : both break lights not operational, turn signal/ hazards intermittently work, windshield wipers not operational. All started happening around the same time.

I've tried replacing the brake light switch and inspected all the fuses (not used a multimeter, just looked at them and none of them look blown).

I'm afraid I have little car knowledge and pretty much don't know the first step of how to go about troubleshooting a problem like this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You should get a continuity light or a meter, pull the witch out of the steering column and check it for continuity. I don't even know if I can find my ETM for that car now. There may be a common ground for those circuits that is failing.

Thanks Turtlehead. How can I find the common ground cable do you know? I have the technical manual but I can't tell from the wiring diagram what color wire the ground is.
