Default 1987 LXi coupe stalling

I have a 1987 Accord LXi coupe that stalls. When ever I first start it up and drive it for a couple minutes and then stop and try and restart it it just turns over. I need to sit and wait before it will start. It almost seems like when it does not get warmed up fully it won't restart and has to cool off enough before it will fire up agian. it runs fine when cold and when hot. It also seems to idle rough when in the middle warm up stage. Is there an auto choke or something that could be causing this?

it is a F/I 4 cyl. with 206 k Miles and otherwise runs great.

It could be fuel related or it could be the choke... was the lxi fuel injected? what it almost sounds like is that it's not getting enough fuel... I'd get a fuel pressure guage on it and test it out at the various times when it happens. How long has it been since you've done the plugs, wires, air filter, fuel filter, oil filter, oil, cap and rotor? A basic tune up may resolve the issue but I'm guessing it's fuel related.... get a pressure gauge on it after you replace the filter and see what happens...

It is injected. I did a standard tuneup stuff about a year ago... (plug wires and what not) had the coil replaced in January. This is a new issue about 3 weeks old. I have seen a note to replace the TW Sensor. Any clue what that is?

a couple of things,,,,,,,, First off lets toss out the idea of the choke,, lxi is fuel injected........
When car dies and won't restart you need to diagnose if it is fuel or spark related ..try this test ......(.could be a bad main relay,,,)

https://www.hondaaccordforum.com/NO_...m_17302/tm.htm

if after doing it car still won't start .. pull a plug wire out, stick a screwdriver or an old plug in the wire, make sure to ground either the screwdriver or the plug, have someone crank the engine while you watch for spark or lack of it .. IF no spark,, could be ,,,ignitor, coil, rotor,

try this and let us know ..
