Hi all I use to do a lot of car work but have been out of it for a few years, never worked on a Honda but recently purchased a 1991 Accord LX. I am currently not able to tell which engine is in it as all it says is Honda 16 Valve. could anyone tell me what engine it most likely is? On the block of the engine, below the dist, where the engine and trans meet.....there is a flat surface that should have some stamping....F22XX.

If it is the OE engine, there is a VIN decoder that should help identify the engine. Look at the very top of this section for the thread about it.
