Default 1992 Honda Accord Door Checker Detached

I have a door checker that is loose inside the door pillar and I don't know how to access it. The door checker doesn't have bolts that hold it to the pillar it actually runs through the the pillar wall and attaches inside somehow and is loose/broken? It lets the door swing to far and makes a screechy noise. The passengers side doesn't do this. Any help with access and repair would be appreciated. I found some of this information on this site from a guy in 2008 that had the same problem but didn't find all the answers.

Thanks for the help.....

You are going to have to pull the door panel off to get to it.

You could try to get a used one from a "bone yard" - in doing so you will get a good idea how it attaches to the "door" and the "body"
