1993 Honda Accord EX dies during idle or not....
The car is a 4cyl. Auto. The car will start and run, sometimes it will never die the whole day. Other times it will die 5 seconds after a cold start(first one of the day) and will do it two or three more times in a matter of minutes. It is not consistant....ugh. I read one member put seafoam in and said it worked! any good advice to give? I have read other run and die posts...none of them are exactly like mine.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Sounds like that IS what he tried...
Re-reading the top post, does this happen ONLY when the engine's first started or it's warming up? Does it ever die after it's completely warmed up?
If only when cold, then I'd suspect the FITV.

HI guys, thank you for the responses. Yes Jim, I started it let it run and wiggle the key, nothing. It will do it in ALL stages. Cold start, after running 5, 10,15 20 mins. and hour later....etc. It will happen if cold, warm, hot....doesn't matter. Or sometimes it can go a whole day and it won't do it.

The FITV is an air bypass valve that allows extra air into the engine when the car is warming up. The valve closes when your car gets to operating temperature. A problem with that valve will cause the rpms to fluctuate, but shouldn't cause a stall.
Are there any codes stored in the ECU? Short the blue two-pin connector behind the passenger side kick panel and count the check engine light flashes. I think the Tegger site stickied at the top of the forum will have the specifics on how to get your engine code.
