Default 1993 honda Accord shuts off while driving.

It idles fine, and will drive in first gear, but if I shift into second or take my foot off of the gas it shuts off. We tested the fuel pump and it worked fine. I have been told it could be a sensor or the catalytic converter? Also, i pulled the spark plug wires, and one was cobered in oil.

Please do not post in the DIY area. I have moved this to the proper section.

The spark plug wires get oil on them because the tube seals fail. I don't think it affects the performance. Certainly wouldn't make it shut off while driving.

Oil in the spark plug tubes can cause misfiring, depending on the age, condition, & rubber-cracking of the plug wires.
