My fan motor melted away from the fan. Yes I can show pictures. I replaced it and after doing that I went for a drive and the new fan never kicked on. The car ran warmer than usual too. Why didn't the fan kick on?

 

I suggest checking the connector for damage. Then with the key in the on position, car not running, turn on the A/C and cabin air fan speed to high. Do both fans turn on? If only the A/C fan turns on then check the fuses. Are the fuses OK? If so, check the fan relay switch. If these steps don't solve the problem there are other potential causes.
