It kind of points to the distributor since the resistance is out of the specified range.

When I was fighting a (very) intermittent DTC 9 I went to the junkyard and measured the CYP resistance of another distributor @ 360Ω. I'm guessing that the spec for a '96 - '97 F22B2 CYP is 350Ω - 700Ω based on 1) my car running fine and 2) the junkyard distributor resistance measurement. But it's just a guess. It may be that my distributor and the junkyard distributor are/were both way out of spec.

The problem is that I don't have a scanner. DTC 9 covers P1381 (Cylinder Position Sensor Intermittent Interruption) and P1382 (Cylinder Position Sensor No Signal.) If I had a scanner it would probably have spit out a P1381. So my distributor's measurement of ~340Ω along with the junkyard distributor's measurement of 360Ω may or may not have any bearing on a P1382.

You may want to measure the resistance at the ECU pins (with the distributor plugged in) to ensure you don't have any wiring problems. With all the mechanical work that's been done, a wire could have got pinched in the process.

I have tested 4 distributors from 3 different places along with mine all measuring range from 340-360
So.I know mines good. I'm gonna check it at the ecu pins this morning. Can anybody tell me where the sensor grounds are located I have the circuit diagrams but they don't say where they are I just want to make sure I check those too

On the ECM, there are several wire harness connectors, look for the 31-P Blue connector. Terminal pin C4 on the ECM is CYP sensor input and C14 is CYP sensor ground.

CYP sensor ground is a BLK wire going to C14, CYP sensor input is a Yellow wire going to C4.

If its bad can.I.just wire from distributor connector straight to ecm bypassing other connectors or will I be bypassing other nessecary grounds? I'd like to do.it that way

It would bypass any connectors that might be bad as well.if it went straight from distributor connector to the ecm connector it would garuntee the car would start if it was a wiring issue, considering my distributor is good as tested. Plus I've rebuilt it with every part I could replace in it lol.

If you do that and it starts, that means it was a wiring problem. I guess my preference would be to use that as a diagnosis then fix the wiring, so future repair work doesn't get real confusing.

With the distributor plugged in, unplug ECU plug C and measure the resistance between the black pin 14 (just to the left of C15 in pic) and yellow pin 4 (just above black pin 14.) It should be the same resistance reading as your unplugged distributor.

Ok the results are....at my dstributor connector it reads 340 ohms hmmm I thought it was higher last time I checked.. but at the ecu pins I'm getting the same but 340 is out of spec. Its 350 to 700 ohms.
