Default 1996 Accord LX Radiator Support Removal

Hello, any help would be greatly appreciated.
1996 Honda Accord LX Coupe 2.2 non vtech

Radiator Support is bent and needs to be replaced.

Trying to identify the spot weld locations so I can cut the bent one out. Looking for some guidance so as to save time and avoid cutting anything I don't need to cut.

Thanks in advance.

Sean

The common diy thread on top of the gen tech help section has a link for online shop manuals. The hondahookup link has a 94 shop manual you can download that will show the locations of the spot welds. The 94 is almost identical to your 96 accord.

I know this might sound over simple, but remove the headlights, bumper and cover, and front fenders. Now you should see what looks like dimples about 3/16th of an inch. Those are the spot welds you'll need to drill out. You'll also need a cut off wheel for a die grinder, or a dremel at minimum, or a 4 1/2 inch angle grinder with a cut off wheel attached (I like Metabo cutting discs). You'll also want some grinding discs too.

This is what we used on my son's Civic when he had to replace the damaged radiator support.
