Default 1996 Honda Accord Wiring

So my wiring harness melted from the 20 pin connector all the way up to the firewall. Anyone have an idea of what the name of the harness is that goes from the blue connector and through the firewall?

There's a lot of harnesses, and I'm not sure which one you need. Can you tell?

This is a 4-door, 4-cyl, LX, automatic trans. just because you didn't say what your car is...

That is the picture I was finding too. I have a Accord LX with a 2.2L 4 cylander engine and 4 speed automatic. This particular harness appears to go from under the dash, through the firewall and then has connectors close to the ECU and Fuse Panel under the hood. I am thinking it is 16 but I really don't know for sure. Thank you in advance!!

There's a few on-line dealers that use Honda's parts catalog pictures, take your pick...
hondaautomotiveparts(dot)com
hondapartsnow(dot)com
etc.
Not sure if any of them might know if you asked the color of the connectors to help identify? You picked a good one, $450 to $600 for that harness. At least it seems to be available.

Wonder if that makes it worth it to repair wires inside the existing harness? I can't tell from the photo how badly it's damaged.

Or maybe you can grab one from a junkyard?

At 450 to 600, I think I'd look at a salvage yard (pick n pull), or maybe another complete car.

It is # 16 in the online parts diagram. It is the dash board main wire harness.

Does anyone know if the harness is the same on the 95 or 97? Junkyards here seem to be fresh out of the 96.

32150-SV4-***
Majestic Auto site says it's 1996 & 1997 sedan LX.

I tried a few others...
96 sedan LX with ABS and that one is different (part# ends in A74 or L70 both discontinued)
96 COUPE LX with ABS is the same as sedan with ABS
97 sedan LX with ABS is different
96 sedan LX with manual transmission is different
96 sedan EX is different
96 sedan DX is different
I gave up... what a complicated mess.

If you have ABS you can use 1996 sedan or coupe with ABS (and automatic transmission).
If you don't have ABS you can use 1996 or 1997 sedan without ABS, with automatic (but not the coupe).

The 97 accord is identical to the 96. The 94/95 accords have some slight differences. Pull the harness from an accord that uses the same part number as for your accord. If you search only the part number on a site like hondapartsnow.com, they list the accords that have that part number.

The engine, trim, and transmission can use different parts. The LX&DX are the same. EX can be different. V6 vs 4-cylinders. Also Automatic vs manual. The part number search is your best bet to get something identical.
