Post 1997 honda accord 2.2 non vtec shut off while driving

not even sure if this is the right place, im a new member here so please elt me know if im in the wrong place. my 1997 accord i was driving it down the road all was good and normal when out of nowhere it just shut off, no thumping clicking knocking or anything, acted like i turned the key off which i didnt. anyways it cranks over but it wont start, i have check the basics the fuel pump is working and pumping fuel to the throttle body but it doesnt have spark it has a brand new coil cause there was no spark coming from the old one. bought a new coil slapped it in still no spark coming from the coil, im checking directly outa the coil not at each plug i also checked there too. my question is where do i look next or what might my next move be? any help would be much appreciated im in a pretty bad spot and this was my only way to get to work so for now im relying on other people for rides and no i dont have the money to bring it to a shop. i did plug into with a reader and there was no codes so im kinda lost

Have you looked at your battery terminals? Have you tried to jingle the key before turning it over (could be ignition switch).
