Angry 1997 Honda Accord 4 cyl no cold a/c

I am trying to get my a/c system up and running again. I have replaced both radiator fans. they seem to be working properly they run as needed. The a/c compressor seems to engage as needed as well. The air is not blowing cold. I recharged the system with r134 before I replaced the fans. My next question is that will the relays for the compressor completely go out or is it possible that they could be bad and need replacing. I think I have everything covered. If you need more info plz let me know.

Make sure that the compressor clutch engages. The clutch plat is just to the right of the compressor pulley when looking at the compressor from the front of the car.

he clutch plate should not spin when the car is running and the a/c is off.

When you turn on the a/c that clutch plate should spin with the pulley.

Sorry I forgot to include that the a/c compressor doesnt kick on once I turn the a/c on in the car. When I hook a 12volt source directly to the compressor the clutch kicks on every time. Should the compressor run continuesly with the a/c in the on position.

The clutch does not spin when the car is running and the a/c off, but when I turn the a/c on it spins for a little while, then stops.

When the a/c is turned on and the clutch is not engaging, unplug the electrical connector to the compressor. See if you have 12V between that pin and a good ground (like a valve cover bolt).

How did you recharge the AC. Did you empty the system? Does your AC leak?

“The clutch does not spin when the car is running and the a/c off, but when I turn the a/c on it spins for a little while, then stops. “

This is a symptom of low Freon.

After it stops does it come back on again ???
depends how long it spins it is a normal condition , a/c clutch cycles on and off,, the cooler the ambient temp is, the less it stays engaged..

but like Kris asked how did you service the a/c system and how much freon did you put back in, also you should get a pressure reading ( both low and high ) and post them here
