1997 Honda Accord HELP
Hi,
I just got a 1997 honda accord ex auto trans. I know absolutely nothing about cars but my car shakes when going around 60 mph. is this normal? also when idle or parked it makes weird noises. the sounds coming from underneath in the middle to the end of the car. Also the check engine light is on. is something wrong with the exhaust?
if i was to replace the exhaust how much would that cost for a good one? and i wasa looking for cold air intake. whats good? After i fix whatever is wrong with the car to stop it from making weird noises while idle i want my car to sound powerful but not like loud. I dont like my car to sound loud like a lot of the civics and stuff here. thanks for your help. if you need me to clarify just ask because i dont really know much. so specific questions. thanks for replying!

Welcome new member! Is it 4-cyl or V-6? Those may as well be completely different cars, so don't make us guess.
Vibrating at speed really sounds like your wheels need to be balanced. Simple, unless a wheel is actually bent...
The noise can be leaking exhaust, or maybe a loose heatshield rattling. Hard to say because I can't hear it from here. Describe the sound better? Still it's hard to figure out sounds over the net.
Check-engine light... Take the car to AutoZone or someplace like that, have em read the error code stored in the car's computer. Get the actual code number, because the guy's description can be pretty creative. Code starts with letter P followed by 4 digit number.

autozone will always say its a o2 sensor thats bad. You could trailer your car up there with out an engine in it and they will tell u an o2 sensor will do the trick. Def get the code # and post it and we'll go from there
