1997 honda accord lx 2 questions

Okay so I've had my honda for 3 years and I plan on fixing it up a bit since its such a reliable car.
1. Ever since I got the car from some old couple, It has been missing a driver side Splash Shield. I found a 92 honda accord at a junkyard with this driver side splash shield. My question is, will it fit onto my 1997 honda accord? I dont wanna take the part off, pay for it, and find out it doesnt fit. It's only 14 $ online for a new one, but I dont wanna go through that hassle. I tried comparing the 2, and the holes seem to match up where the screws are, I couldn't really tell since the splash shield is still on the 92 accord... Does anyone know?
2. When my car idles or is in park, it will made a ticking/clicking noise coming from under the car, or maybe under the hood. It never made this noise before my accident with a fire hydrant, now with a new front end, it makes this noise. I heard from related threads that it could be a loose heatshield, but they had no answer to it. Is it possible its something else, or how do i fix this "loose heatshield"
any help apprecaited, thanks in advanced!

1. I doubt that the splash shields will be the same for cars of two generations. You can see if the part number is the same for both vehicles on majestic honda's parts site.
2. Rattling noises are hard to pinpoint over the internet. Try the best you can to identify the location of the noise.
Inspect those parts that were replaced after the accident to make sure that something isn't loose like the bolts to radiator fan bracket, etc...
